What if I am a first-time thrower?The majority of our customers have never thrown an axe prior to their first time visiting us. The Firehouse Urban Axe Throwing’s experienced and friendly staff has the knowledge and dedication to make sure everyone has the sharpest experience possible. All of our Axe-perts (coaches) are terrific and will be with you every step of the way. If you're having an Axe-cellent time let your Axe-pert know, tag them/us on social media! You will have an Axe-pert (coach) nearby at all times. The first part of your experience is spent learning the safety rules and procedures of how to handle an axe. With proper instruction, practice and by following our guided procedures, you will be able to safely throw an axe into the target.

How safe is axe throwing?At The Firehouse Urban Axe Throwing we strive to provide both the safest and most enjoyable setting possible. Our knowledgeable and safety cognizant Axe-perts help with their supervision as well as providing safety training to every thrower prior to their first throw. Safety is our #1 priority. We operate a very controlled environment and each guest who enters must go through our safety briefing and training session before they are allowed to participate. If any participants in the throwing lanes are not following the rules, we reserve the right to ask that guest to leave, immediately, with no refund. Staff members have the discretion at any time to deny any individuals the opportunity to throw/continue throwing to maintain a safe environment for other throwers and that individual. Just remember – No one likes an axe-hole.

Who can throw an axe?We recomend ages 12 and up.

What should I wear?Closed toed shoes are a must! Really ugly rental shoes and your own pair of brand-new socks are available on site; however, sizes and availability of sizes are limited. Be comfortable and don’t wear restrictive clothing. Dress to connect with your inner lumberjack or Viking! It may help.

Is there an age limit?We recomend ages 12 and older. Younger throwers are permitted at the discretion of the parent/legal guardian and Staff If a person under the age of 18 will be coming with you, they will still need a waiver on file. Due to their age however, a minor cannot fill out a waiver for themself. Any minors will need to be added under "Minors/Children" in an adult waiver. Can I bring my own axe?Yes! However, it must be checked in and okayed by a staff member prior to use. Personal axes must be under 3lb and not razor sharp. Only axes supplied by us or World Axe Throwing League (WATL) approved axes may be used during league events and competition, unless otherwise specifically stated. Do you have alcohol available for purchase?Yes, we have beer and wine available for purchase. Participants are also welcome to bring in beer or wine. Customers are welcome to drink during their session, but must drink responsibly to ensure a safe throwing environment.

Does The Firehouse do parties?We are happy to help with throwing a party at our site. If you're looking for a unique spin on any party, you've found it! We have several tables beside our throwing lanes that can be made use of to assist with throwing any form of party. If you are planning to host a party at our site, please contact us in advance so we can work to arrange things (such as lane placement) so we can assure your group has the best expeirence possible.

Do you offer group ratesAbsolutely! Groups of 8 or larger can start to recieve group deals. Because there are several veriables such as group size that influence deal options, please contact us for additional information.

Can birthday parties be held at The Firehouse?Yep! We love to assist in making this years birthday the most memorable one yet! Any individuals within one week of their birthday, either before or after, throws for free as long as accompanied by a paying customer. (ID verification required) If placing your reservation online, please book the reservation for the number of throwers excluding the birthday person. A comment can be placed on the reservation as well so we know to expect the correct number of throwers.

What if I'm part of a group but booking my reservation seperatly?So we can plan accordingly, please select the option while booking your online reservation that states you are part of a larger group. This will help us to arrange things to best fit the group and is greatly appreciated.

Are waivers required?Yes, ALL persons within our store are required by our insurance to have a waiver on file. Once a waiver is completed, it is valid for three months before another must be completed.

Should I print off my waiver to bring with me after completing it online?No, please do not bring in printed waivers as we are unable to accept these. When a waiver is competed in advance online, after filling it out please click "Submit" at the bottom. This enters your waiver in to our database where it can be easily pulled up during your visit. Waivers are valid for three months before another must be submitted. Please remember what email address you use to sumbit your waiver. This address will be used to pull up your waiver upon your visit.
